“What is the greatest power known to man?”

A couple of years ago I wrote a blog on The Greatest Secret … in fact, those who have attended our “My Abundant Life” seminars or purchased the CD series will know the answer … Love!

Recently Rhonda Byrne (producer of The Secret) released a book called “The Power.” Guess what it is all about?!?

You might be saying, “How can love be the greatest power? Is it greater than faith?”  Absolutely … let me show you.  Read and meditate on the following passage:

“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

“If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

“If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.” (The Message Bible – 1 Corinthians 13:1-3)

I’m not speaking of the emotion of love, but rather the decision and lifestyle of love.  Yes, love is a decision. Often two people will ‘fall’ in love but never make the decision to love, they get married and wonder why they fight constantly, then divorce.  They never made the decision to love each other!  A decision means to cut off all other possibilities!

The Greek word ‘agape’ in the bible is translated as ‘love’; however the true meaning is ‘the God kind of love.’

We read on from the above scripture and we get a better understanding of agape love:

Love never gives up.

Love cares more for others than for self.

Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.

Love doesn’t strut,

Doesn’t have a swelled head,

Doesn’t force itself on others,

Isn’t always “me first,”

Doesn’t fly off the handle,

Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,

Doesn’t revel when others grovel,

Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,

Puts up with anything,

Trusts God always,

Always looks for the best,

Never looks back, but keeps going to the end.

Love never dies. (The Message Bible – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

I don’t know about you, but as I read this I check myself off against the list and I find myself saying “God teach me how to love like you love!”  In fact, this is the only commandment that Jesus gave in the new testament:  “But I say to you, Have love for those who are against you, and make prayer for those who are cruel to you;” Matthew 5:44

Put the same love passage in 1 Corinthians 13 from another rendition and in first person and it is even more impactful:

My love endures long and I am patient and kind;

I’m never envious nor boil over with jealousy; I’m not boastful or have a high opinion of myself.

I am not arrogant and inflated with pride;

I am not rude and I don’t act unfairly.

God’s love in me does not insist on my own rights or my own way;

I am not self-seeking;

I am not touchy or fretful or resentful;

I take no account of the evil done to me, I pay no attention to a suffered wrong.

I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoice when right and truth prevail.

I bear up under anything and everything that comes, I’m ever ready to believe the best of every person, my hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and I endure everything without weakening.

My love never fails, never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end.

Did you know that there is no fear in love … the bible says that “Perfect love (agape) casts out ALL fear.” (1 John 4:18)

If you have fear in your life you have to ask the question, “What or who do I not love?” A fear can be in the form of jealousy, hatred, revenge, anger, disease, poverty, lack, guilt, depression, competition for what someone else has, afraid of the future etc.

Love activates faith! (Galatians 5:6)  Faith without love is nothing more than the sound of a creaking gate, a noise that fades away to nothing.  “Now faith, hope and love abide in us; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

We cannot know agape love with knowing God, because God is love (1 John 4:8).  Maybe one day we should look at the character of God as most people have a warped and incorrect understanding.

The Secret DVD and book revealed to many people the Law Of Attraction (LOA).

Rhonda Byrne, nor any of the other 25 Teachers (including Esther Hicks), discovered the Law of Attraction. It has been available to man since his creation. In fact, it is a law of creation which God put into place long before the earth existed.

Many people, of all religious beliefs and walks of life still don’t believe in LOA.

Like all other laws of the universe which God put in place, just because a person is ignorant of the law doesn’t stop the law from working to its fullest capacity at all times. You may not believe or know about the law of lift, yet it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. You may not believe in God, that doesn’t mean God doesn’t exist.

Simply put, the LOA is “What I believe and speak I create.”

So is The Secret (which was never really a secret) the greatest power on earth?  Absolutely not!

I heard Bob Proctor say in his “Born Rich” seminar once that faith was the greatest power known to man. I have to disagree with him. Yes, faith is a mighty power. If fact the bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). Actually without faith it is impossible to believe God exists.

Abraham (in the bible … not Esther Hick’s group of spirits) is called the father of Faith. Abraham believed whatever the God said; he acted on God’s word and Abraham was made very rich, and he was made the father of many nations, later know as race of people called the Jews.

• Jesus said to a sick woman who believed in Him and touched his clothes, “Your faith has made you whole (totally healed and complete).”
• He also said to his disciples, “All things are possible to those who believe.”
• Paul the apostle said, “We walk by faith, not by sight or appearances.”
• He also said, “For it is by free grace you are saved through your faith.”
• Jesus also said, “When you pray, pray believing that you already have it and it will be yours.”

It would seem than that faith can do just about anything!

Many people think “all I have to do is believe and I can have it.” Hang on a minute … that’s not true. Faith without action is dead, nothing, zip, zilch!

I get emails which read something like this: “I’ve watched The Secret 53 times and keep believing in the law of attraction yet nothing has changed. I’m still sick, broke and unhappy.” That is like sitting on the floor cross legged with your fingers shaped in a circle and humming, expecting the money to drop out of the ceiling!!! Now that is just plain dumb!

So faith without action will not help you get what you want let alone your dreams and goals. Faith with action is a mighty power, it will feed the hungry, heal the sick and mend the broken hearted … but it is not the most powerful force know to man!

So what is?

Shortly after The Secret first came out, The Secret Version 2 was Released …

The Secret DVD & Book

… and the first version was NOT allowed to be sold!!  Many people who have watched The Secret actually watched the second version of the DVD.  The first version had Ester Hicks in it, the second version doesn’t!

I don’t profess to know what went on between Rhonda Byrne & The Secret team and Ester & Jerry Hicks.  Being reasonably close to Rhonda Byrne and her sister Glenda, plus the Drew Harriott’s (The Secret Director) then girlfriend is a daughter of our client, I was privy to some information which most do not know.

I have been around long enough to know there is always three sides to every story … Rhonda’s, Ester’s and the Truth!  I have never personally spoken to Ester or Jerry and have nothing against them as people.  They do a great work and I honour them for who they are.  I do not take on some on their beliefs as they are contrary to what I know as the truth … and then again, nor do I uphold everything on The Secret or what some other Secret Teachers believe.

From time to time I hear and read some real rubbish!  One of those is that Ester maintains the The Secret was handed to her from the Ester ‘Abraham’ spirits and that other Teachers on The Secret and Rhonda Byrne stole The Secret from her!!  Here is what someone posted on their FaceBook Wall today:

“I am a great fan of Esther & Jerry Hicks, please understand Abraham was the first to teach “The Secret,” yes-the info was basically unfairly stolen from Abraham-channeled from the wonderful Hicks!! She/they are phenominal. Keep up the good work for Abraham, Ester, I am proud of you regardless of what anyone thinks. I was/am a ‘different’ child.”

As you guessed … I could not resist responding … here it is:

“That is so far from the truth it is ridiculous.

How do you explain The Secret being taught by Zig Ziglar, Og Mandino, Napoleon Hill, Wallace D Wattles, Thomas Troward, Apostle Paul, Jesus Christ and Moses (plus many others) long before Ester Hicks was heard of or even born?

I had never heard of Ester Hicks or the ‘Abraham’ spirits when I first started applying The Secret (long before Rhonda Byrne called it The Secret).

Apart from the obvious, how can someone steal that which is not owned by any human but rather given directly by God (not the Ester’s ‘Abraham’ spirits).”

Let me also suggest that there is a “money side” that hasn’t been told truthfully, and that the real facts to why Ester Hicks was cut out have nothing to do Ester been given The Secret or that it was stolen from her.  Just some ordinary common sense will tell you someone is using fantasy to cover up fact.  And I’m amazed by the gullible people who fall for it.

• Have you ever wondered why it was scheduled to show on ‘free-to-air’ television around the world simultaneously on February 12, 2005 and two weeks before (even after massive advertising campaigns) it got pulled …
• then in May it got release via the internet and DVD??
• Did you know it wasn’t able to be purchased online in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea until version 2 came out!?!??!

Hmmmm …. Something to think about!

How To Apply The Secret – The 7 Steps To Creating Abundance & Prosperity By Using Your Imagination. The Secret behind the Law of Attraction and all success and wealth.

Like many of the Secret Teachers, I get a constant influx of emails regarding The Secret DVD and book. These days the comments are “I just watched The Secret DVD and it is amazing, thank you for your contribution” or “I’ve watched The Secret DVD over and over again, I try to do what it say and nothing has changed. What am I doing wrong?”

These questions certainly highlight missing links between The Secret movie and how to apply the Law of Attraction. Many people watch the movie, get all excited about manifesting abundance, think about a life of prosperity yet never take any action towards achieving it. It’s like sitting at the kitchen table and humming in meditation while expecting money to fall through the ceiling!

It may be possible however we don’t seem to have evolved to that level of manifestation yet. Let me share a few key steps that you can do to massively speed up the manifesting of abundance and prosperity in your life. When I mention abundance and prosperity I mean in all areas of your life: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Social and Financial.

Know Exactly What You Want

The biggest reason people keep getting poverty and lack in their lives and not having the abundance and prosperity they seek is they do not have a clear mental image of exactly how they want their live to be. Most people know what’s wrong in their lives and can give you a big long list; some even know how they don’t want their lives to be but very few know the perfect life they would like to live every day.

By another name it is called a Vision – “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 28:19); perish into the grips of poverty, lack, sickness and fear.

I experienced this personally before I understood the law of attraction. I was over $50,000 in debt with no electricity and the phone switched off because I couldn’t pay the bills, no job, no education, on government social security benefits and a wife and four children to feed. Every day I focused on the bills coming in the mail and how much money we didn’t have. I felt paralysed with the fear of poverty and couldn’t see a way out. (The fear of poverty is the most distructive of all fears – we will share more about that another time.)

Once we truly understand the Mind, its connection with God and our Body, and our minds’ purpose, we can no longer live by focusing on our current circumstances. One of the six faculties of the conscious mind is our imagination.

The purpose we were created with an imagination it to be able to create the image of how we want things to be regardless of how our life presently is. The challenge is that for most people their imagination faculty peaks at about 8 or 9 years old and hasn’t been used much since. By the time we become a teenager we are told to get our head out of the clouds and be realistic. Most people become really good at imagining how terrible things will be, they become filled with doubt and worry. We must re-train our imagination, create beautiful pictures of exactly how we desire our life to be and then live in that image with faith, expectation and love.

Here are steps to re-focus your mind and re-train your imagination:

1. Know exactly what you want. Take out a pen and paper and write down what is NOT working in your life how you want it. Could your marriage be better? Do you have the money you need to do and buy the things you want to? Do you have an illness or are you often sick? Are you unhappy? Are you working at a job you hate? Do you live in a home or area you don’t like?
2. Now write out on another sheet of paper in present tense exactly how you do want each of those things to be. Don’t just write “I want a better relationship.” Write out, in detail exactly what you want to do have and become. For example, “I have a loving fulfilled relationship with my husband. We spend time every day together communicating and falling more in love. We enjoy frequent romantic times together, like walking along the beach hand in hand or sitting enjoying a coffee together.” Describe your life exactly how you want it to be.
3. Once you have completed that task, throw away or burn the first list you made of what is not working. You don’t want to read or focus on that ever again.
4. Re-read your new life at least twice a day. When you wake up first thing in the morning and just before you go to sleep at night. Just like a child pretend that it already is, add emotion to it as if it has already happened. Re-writing your new life increases clarity, emotion and expectation.
5. Only speak to others of how your new life is. Our words create our world so our confessions or what we speak out about our circumstances creates our circumstances. If you continually speak to others about what’s going wrong in your life then that is what you attract. Start speaking with excitement about how your new life looks.
6. Have Faith … only believe! Many people just want good things to happen and want abundance and yet doubt about whether it can happen or worry about the worst happening. This is using the law of attraction to create a life that you don’t want as we will always attract what we emotionally focus on. Worry and doubt create the huge emotion of fear. We must LET God, let the power, work through us without being anxious about whether the end result will happen or not!  I think Jesus said it so well when he told us in Mark 11:24 “For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it.”  Note the words “Have faith that it HAS been given to you … and you WILL have it” Some translations say “If you have faith…” or “If you believe…”
7. Be expectant and grateful. Expectation propels you into action and draws you closer to your goals. If you really desire something in your life there are certain steps you must take. For example if you desired to travel to Hawaii for a holiday you would have to decide when you are going, buy a suit case, inquire about tickets, hotels etc. What do you need to do right now if you truly expect your new life?

Gratitude is the other key ingredient which is often overlooked by people but absolutely essential if you want to attract anything more into your life.

If you are grateful for what you already have and expect more with the faith that you will have it, your life will be filled with a greater abundance that you now cannot comprehend. You must be grateful for your new life as if you already have it!

There are conditions of receiving and that is first of all knowing what you want, asking, and then believing you have it already! In less than 30 days and very little effort you will completely alter your focus and bounce out of bed every day with the vision of your new life.

Your life and circumstances will begin to change and you will see miracles start to unfold.

I will probably tell you a lot you already know about the Law of Attraction.

A great wise man once said “Be doers of the word, not hearers only, otherwise you deceive yourself.” – James 1:22 … even I don’t do what I know at times!

Your mind and body is ALWAYS a reflection of your spirit realm or thought realm. “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7

Ignorance (a lack of knowledge or understanding) leads to worry and doubt, which leads to fear, which leads to depression, lack, poverty in every area of ones life, sickness, even death.

All depression and hopelessness come from the mind being in chaos or lack of order. For example, chaos in our financial thoughts leads to financial lack; chaos in our in our health thoughts lead to disease and sickness; chaos in our vision leads to depression. This may seem logical and simple, but if only the world would grasp it with understanding!

To change our results from lack to abundance, we must first create order in our mind. This was God’s first act of recreation: To create order on this formless void planet. (Genesis 1:2)

The Apostle Paul said in Romans that you have to renew you mind. “Do not be conformed to this world, fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs, but be transformed (changed) by the entire renewal of your mind, by its new ideas and its new attitude, so that you may prove for yourself what is the perfect, acceptable and good will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you.” – Romans 12:2

What Paul was saying is don’t be like the world around you, your present circumstances and environment; but rather change what you think about and focus on, create your perfect life with your God given gift of imagination and hold that image with your will until your mind is renewed, just like God did when He created this world.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” – Proverbs 29:18. No wonder we life in a generation of frustrated people, most have no vision for their life, or at best a confused or negative vision.

The way we feel and act is always according to our subconscious images, whether we know, understand or believe it or not. Therefore our results in every area of our lives are because of our thoughts! And because we can control our thoughts we are also responsible for our results.

All creation waits for our thoughts so it can evolve at a faster pace – yet it cannot go backwards. So if we continually look backwards at our past results or even at our present results the world around us continues to move forward but we get ‘stuck’ or cannot move forward.

“All creation waits with eager longing for its revealing though the sons of God.” – Romans 8:19. How exciting – that creation itself is waiting for us, for what God has to reveal through us. Most people though are still looking backwards in pain or forward in fear rather than in excited expectation of revelation now.

It is very easy to tell where a person is by what they speak out. We always speak what we believe. While people continue to speak out their lack, poverty, sickness or being stuck, they will remain there!

The answer is simple: “If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth you will be saved.” That is not just some Christian belief for eternal salvation … it is a universal law, God’s law of creation from the beginning of time, it’s the gift all human’s where given so that they can create “heaven on earth“. Jesus tried to teach the world of this basic fact, yet most will deny Him and continue to live hell on earth because they do not listen. He said, “They have ears but do not hear.” – The kingdom is within you!!

Why am I telling you this? Let me put it another way:

1. VISION – you MUST have a clear vision of how you want your life to be. This is where most people miss it. Without a vision you WILL perish, you will never achieve your dreams & goals. Get REALLY clear on every aspect of your life; write it out in present tense and in vivid detail. Write and Speak only in terms of your new life.

2. PURPOSE – Why do you want it? How does your new life feel? Who is proud of you?

3. FAITH – Knowing that it is already yours! “When you pray, pray believing that it already is yours, and it WILL be yours.” – Mark 11:24 Again, never speak about what you don’t want or complain about you ‘lot in life’ – ONLY speak about what is yours to come but as if you already have it!

4. GRATITUDE – Gratitude moves us closer to the source. Give ALL the glory to God as He gives all things to you, even your very breath. James said even be grateful for your challenges because mixed with faith it creates in us endurance and patience! (James 1:2-4) Speaking gratitude always increases our faith – if ever you find yourself lacking faith speak out loud what you are grateful for, especially your new life.

5. ACTION – You have probably heard it before … Faith without works is dead! Many people watch The Secret and then think all they have to do is sit at the kitchen table and hum, or buy a lotto ticket and they will be blessed with truckloads of money. It ain’t gunna happen!! We must ‘ACT in accordance to our Faith.’ Jesus said “I only do what my father does.

“ What did His father do?

God looked at a world that was without form and void, and darkness we upon the face of the earth … and He complained and said “Boy, its dark down there. What a mess. I’m stuck and that place is hopeless … that place is still dark and void what is going on … how come my life is always like this … if only someone would help me fix it … I’m going to quit … Boy it’d dark down there!!!!!” No … God said “Let there be light … and there was light.” – Genesis 1:3

You have the POWER of God in you, as a believer you can turn darkness into light … you can speak truth and light to the darkness. Whatever mountain you are facing right now speak the truth to it. If you are not closing deals or getting more clients, if you don’t have a happy fulfilled relationship, if your bank account looks really sick … don’t tell anyone – just speak the truth you desire. If you are struggling financially, don’t EVER speak about your poverty and lack, only speak about the wealth that is coming to you. If your relationship is not exactly how want it, speak exactly how it must be.

Jesus said “Be healed” and sickness departed! We must do what our Father does!

1. The first step is you create your new life … use your imagination like you have never used it before; create a life of health, abundance and prosperity with no thought of how it is going to happen or fear that you can’t. Write down exactly how you want your new life in every aspect and detail. Be precise – don’t just write I want more money or more clients, what exactly do you want?

2. Re-write your new life out EVERY day and put emotion in it … this is the WHY or the purpose. Continue this every day for 28 days.

3. Speak out loud your new life with gratitude, knowing that it is done. Only ask for it once and from then on be grateful for having received it.

4. Take whatever actions you can at the present time towards receiving your new life – the most efficient action you can do each day is hold the image of your new life on the screen of your mind while continually giving praise and glory to God.

IT IS DONE.

The Secret, Christianity and Jesus … Does it work the same for non-believers?

As many of my regular readers will know, I am a born again Christian, have been now for 35 years, and I often get questions about The Secret and Christianity.  Some Christians have labelled The Secret as a New Age demonic production and have spoken ill against every person on it.  This is a showing of their ignorance as a Christian and of the bible.

There are certainly some aspects of The Secret DVD and The Secret book which are incorrect according to the bible and I’m happy to share that with anyone who asks.  I believe that the bible is 100% true so to debate otherwise with me is a waste of time.  I do respect other’s beliefs and do not think any less of a person if they choose to think or believe contrary to my beliefs, I just don’t waste time debating what I have proven to myself to be the truth.  That said, let me get to the point!

I receive many questions from Christian believers and non-believers alike about the workings of the universal laws.

Here is an email I just received asking if The Secret by Rhonda Byrne works the same for a Christian and non-Christian, which caused me to write this blog:

“Hi David, I was at your Seminar April 3rd in Phoenix AZ. I have a question.

Like gravity, Universal Laws work for everyone equally regardless of religion, right?  So then, a person NOT accepting Jesus can get the same benefits from applying the SECRET? – Or will they only get particle benefits?  Are the benefits the same whether a person accepts Jesus in their lives or not? Is there a difference?

If so, what is it. I am baffled over this.”

Great question! Let me first briefly clarify something for those who may not believe in Christianity or understand it.

A “Christian” is someone who believes in their heart and has confessed with their mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of the one living God and that the same Jesus died for the sins of all mankind and was raised from the dead that we might be saved (set free from the curse brought about because of Adam’s disobedience that keeps a person from communicating directly with God.)  Romans 10:9-10 A Christian believes every Word of God (the bible) is true. A “Christian” is NOT someone who quotes scripture or says “Yes, I believe in a god and that Jesus was a good man/prophet written about a couple of thousand years ago.”

Back to answering the question!!  

• A physical law (like gravity) works for and on everything in the physical realm;
• a mental or ‘soul’ law works for and on everything in the mental or soul realm;
• a spiritual law works for and on everything in the spiritual realm.

A human being is a spiritual being, with a soul (mind) living in a physical body … therefore we are subject to the laws in each realm of existence.

When someone is not a Christian they are ‘dead’ in spirit … which means they cannot communicate (fellowship) with God, the creator of all the universe and the creator of all laws!  Adam, by his spiritual disobedience in the garden of Eden severed fellowship with our creator.  The bible tells us that God created man in His own image (spiritually) and for the sole purpose of fellowship with Him.  God is all love and all truth and cannot fellowship with sin.

When man fell out of fellowship with the Creator it must have been God’s greatest grief … because then God gave His only Son Jesus as a gift to His creation (us) to open the door of fellowship.  Jesus said “The only way to my Father is through me.”  Jesus, by His life, death and resurrection wiped the disobedience (sin) slate clean for all mankind past, present and future.  Sin no longer keeps us from communicating with God … the only thing that keeps a person from fellowship with their Creator is the acceptance of His Son, Jesus.

A non-Christian will say “I mediate and fellowship with my god/the universe/universal consciousness etc.”  The bible says you cannot communicate/fellowship with the one true living God accept you first accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.  A non-believer is actually fellowshipping with their own soul (mental ascension)  and other spirit beings not God.  Don’t get mad at me for saying that, that’s what the bible says!

The Law of Attraction (The Secret DVD) is a ‘soul’ law.

The bible says the soul is the mind (conscious mind), the will and the emotions (subconscious mind or ‘heart’).  The Law of Attraction is based on one renewing their mind to the things that are good and acceptable and perfect will of God … not bad, unacceptable and imperfect (Romans 12:2).  What is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God?

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 tells us exactly … it starts off saying “If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God …” God tells us what is ours … but it is up to us to renew our subconscious mind.  God can’t do that for us, we were created like God, with a free will and the ability to choose.  We can choose poverty and lack, or we can choose abundance and prosperity; we can choose sickness and disease or we can choose health and vitality; we can choose to be dead in spirit (out of fellowship with God) or we can choose to be in fellowship with Him – God will not deny us those choices!  It is up to us, not Him.

Some people, even many Christians say, “If God wants me to be rich or healthy then He will make me.” No!!! God will never make you do or be anything, that’s up to you.

Others will say, “God is ALL POWERFUL so He can do anything!” The bible doesn’t say that!

Others say that, “God is everywhere at once therefore He is in me and I am God.” No, No. No!!  That is a very warped understanding of the spiritual realm and of God.  The bible says that God is ever present but nowhere does it say that He is everywhere – very different.  And God cannot be in someone who does not accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour – it is spiritually illegal and impossible.

Are the benefits the same whether a person accepts Jesus in their lives or not?

Absolutely … the benefits are massively different. The Law of Attraction works the same for a believer and a non-believer as it is a law on the soul realm, we have control of our own minds not God.

The difference is that:

• A believer has the Word of God and all His promises.  There are some 3000 promises in the bible for the believer that a non-believer doesn’t have access to.
• A believer knows a peace and fulfillment that surpasses all mental understanding – something a non-believer cannot even comprehend. (Phil 4:7)
• A believer has the power of God working in them to carry out super-abundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams. (Eph 3:20)
• A believer has the Holy Spirit as the Comforter in difficult times.
• A believer has the Word of God that, when spoken aloud, NEVER goes out and returns void.
• For a believer, All things are possible through Jesus Christ.
• A believer has direct access to God and all His wisdom!! (James 1:5)
• A believer has a personal relationship with God.
• A believer has the protection of angels. (Ps 91:11-12)
• A believer has access to super-natural (spiritual) faith. (Mark 11:23)
• A believer has God as our shepherd to lead, guide and shield, so that they will know no lack. (Ps 23:1)
• A believer sits spiritually at the right hand of God and has direct access to His throne room to ask or talk about anything and get advice for any concern.

I can go on and on and on … The difference is so great, so massive that it is hard to comprehend why someone would not accept Jesus into their life.  True Christianity is a lifestyle and freedom that cannot be achieved by any other means.  The condition for all the above it that one MUST BELIEVE!

One must believe in Jesus and that every Word of God is true – speak what God says about you is true. Then a world of infinite possibilities, beyond our imagination, opens up for us.

The Law of Attraction is great and allows us to achieve much by controlling our human mind; the Law of Attraction with Jesus is so much better that words cannot describe!

The Law Of Attraction (LOA) is basically that, “We attract what we put our focus on and belief in.”

Some people watch The Secret (or not) and say that it is a load of ‘new-age bunkum’, without realizing that LOA is working all the time whether they believe in it or not.  Ignorance of a law does not stop it from working!  And to say that it is ‘new-age’ is to show their ignorance of the bible and many other great writings that are hundreds or even thousands of years old.

Others watch The Secret and say, “Oh yes, I believe.  Give me health, happiness & prosperity.  Thank you!” And that is all they do.  I liken it to the way many people ‘meditate’ … they sit cross legged on the floor and hum, and expect money to fall out of the ceiling into their lap.  Or they buy a lotto ticket and think that with their understanding of LOA that the money is their … they are guaranteed to win.  All of this is nothing but self created delusion and ignorance of the Law of Attraction.

A friend of mine, Harrie Mule recently wrote this on Facebook: “Have you noticed that even when Powerful, Valuable FREE information is given away – the very people who want change find excuses to not receive?”

This is so true.  Over the last fifteen year I have conducted many seminars and taught thousands of people how to successfully create wealth using the stock market.  Numerous times I have had people come up to me at the end of an introductory stock market seminar (often some smart-aleck) and ask “If you are so rich why don’t you teach people for free.” I often respond that if people don’t pay for knowledge they will place no value on it and will not use it hence it will have no positive affect on their life.

Recently my wife & I did a speaking tour of the US teaching people how to apply the secret for abundance – the 1-day seminar was totally free with no strings attached.  Now you would think that almost every person in the US in its current economic state would want to know that information … they don’t!  In fact most people not only enjoy being broke and living in financial stress, they even tell all their friends and family so that they will get noticed or feel significant.

Very few people are ready to receive prosperity.

Here is what I observed:

1. Most people don’t even look for an answer to their problem. They just blame the government, the banks, the corporations or other people.  It’s like planting seeds … the sower is there, they have good seed, but the ground is rock hard and totally unreceptive to any seed on prosperity.
2. Some people registered for the event but never showed up. These people know they need to change but their life is full of excuses.  They start something but rarely follow through, they allow their own negative thoughts and the negative thoughts of others to steal away their potential … the sower is there, they have good seed, the seed is thrown out but even before it has a chance to grow it is snatched away and eaten by the crows
3. Some people showed up at the How To Apply The Secret event and said that what they had received was amazing and life transforming.  However they left without without giving anything back – They took the seed and planted it but because the seed never cost them anything they place little value on its potential.  Each person was given the opportunity to place a value on the seed and to prepare to receive a harvest.  The seed was received and planted, and because it is good see it will start to grow, however weeds of the subconscious will choke it out and it will yield little return.
4. A few took every opportunity to fully participate in every step. They found out the event was on, they registered for the event, they turned up ready to receive the seed, and they took action by contributing whatever they could toward their own financial future.  They put a value on the seed by contributing money or buying a product service that would ensure a good harvest.

This lesson sort of sounds familiar?  If you don’t have an abundance of money and you want to attract money into your life, you have to change what you are sowing.

The seeds for money are our finances, the water and fertilizer for financial prosperity are our words.

“The Secret Doesn’t Work For Me!”

I hear over and over again from people who have watched The Secret, that it doesn’t work for them.  The Secret works for everyone, just most don’t know how to use the Law Of Attraction to get what they want.

I will probably tell you a lot you already know – A great wise man once said “Be doers of the word, not hearers only, otherwise you deceive yourself.” – James 1:22 … even I don’t do what I know at times!

The Mind

Your mind and body is ALWAYS a reflection of your spirit realm or thought realm.  (“For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” –Proverbs 23:7)

Ignorance (a lack of knowledge or understanding) leads to worry and doubt, which leads to fear, which leads to depression, lack, poverty in every area of ones life, sickness, even death.

All depression and hopelessness come from the mind being in chaos or lack of order.  For example, chaos in our financial thoughts leads to financial lack; chaos in our in our health thoughts lead to disease and sickness; chaos in our vision leads to depression.  This may seem logical and simple, but if only the world would grasp it with understanding!

To change our results from lack to abundance, we must first create order in our mind.  This was God’s first act of creation: To create order on this formless void planet. (Genesis 1:2)

The Apostle Paul said in Romans that you have to renew you mind – Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs, but be transformed (changed) by the entire renewal of your mind, by its new ideas and its new attitude, so that you may prove for yourself what is the perfect, acceptable and good will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you.”

What Paul was saying is don’t be like the world around you, your present circumstances and environment; but rather change what you think about and focus on, create your perfect life with your God given gift of imagination and hold that image with your will until your mind is renewed, just like God did when He created this world.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18.  No wonder we life in a generation of frustrated people, most have no vision for their life, or at best a confused or negative vision.

The way we feel and act is always according to our subconscious images, whether we know, understand or believe it or not.  Therefore our results in every area of our lives are because of our thoughts!  And because we can control our thoughts we are also responsible for our results.

All creation waits for our thoughts so it can evolve at a faster pace – yet it cannot go backwards.  So if we continually look backwards at our past results or even at our present results the world around us continues to move forward but we get ‘stuck’ or cannot move forward.

“All creation waits with eager longing for its revealing though the sons of God.” – Romans 8:19.  How exciting – that creation itself is waiting for us, for what God has to reveal through us.  Most people though are still looking backwards in pain or forward in fear rather than in excited expectation of revelation now.

It is very easy to tell where a person is by what they speak out.  We always speak what we believe.  While people continue to speak out their lack, poverty, sickness or being stuck, they will remain there!

The answer is simple: “If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth you will be saved.” That is not just some Christian belief for eternal salvation … it is a universal law, God’s law of creation from the beginning of time, it’s the gift all human’s where given so that they can create “heaven on earth“.  Jesus tried to teach the world of this basic fact, yet most will deny Him and continue to live hell on earth because they do not listen.  He said, “They have ears but do not hear.” – The kingdom is within you!!

Why am I telling you this?

Let me put it another way:

1. VISION – you MUST have a clear vision of how you want your life to be.  This is where most people miss it.  Without a vision you WILL perish, you will never achieve your dreams & goals.  Get REALLY clear on every aspect of your life; write it out in present tense and in vivid detail.  Write and Speak only in terms of your new life.
2. PURPOSE – Why do you want it?  How does your new life feel?  Who is proud of you?
3. FAITH – Knowing that it is already yours!  “When you pray, pray believing that it already is yours, and it WILL be yours.” – Mark 11:24  Again, never speak about what you don’t want or complain about you ‘lot in life’ – ONLY speak about what is yours to come but as if you already have it!
4. GRATITUDE - Gratitude moves us closer to the source.  Give ALL the glory to God as He gives all things to you, even your very breath.  James said even be grateful for your challenges because mixed with faith it creates in us endurance and patience!  (James 1:2-4)  Speaking gratitude always increases our faith – if ever you find yourself lacking faith speak out loud what you are grateful for, especially your new life.
5. ACTION – You have probably heard it before … Faith without works is dead!  Many people watch The Secret and then think all they have to do is sit at the kitchen table and hum, or buy a lotto ticket and they will be blessed with truckloads of money.  It ain’t gunna happen!!  We must ‘ACT in accordance to our Faith.’ Jesus said “I only do what my father does.”

What did His father do?

God looked at a world that was without form and void, and darkness we upon the face of the earth … and He complained and said “Boy, its dark down there.  What a mess.  I’m stuck and that place is hopeless … that place is still dark and void what is going on … how come my life is always like this … if only someone would help me fix it … I’m going to quit … Boy it’d dark down there!!!!!”  No … God said “Let there be light … and there was light.” Genesis 1:3

You have the POWER of God in you, as a believer you can turn darkness into light … you can speak truth and light to the darkness.  Whatever mountain you are facing right now speak the truth to it.  If you are not closing deals or getting more clients, if you don’t have a happy fulfilled relationship, if your bank account looks really sick … don’t tell anyone – just speak the truth you desire.  If you are struggling financially, don’t EVER speak about your poverty and lack, only speak about the wealth that is coming to you.  If your relationship is not exactly how want it, speak exactly how it must be.

Jesus said “Be healed” and sickness departed! We must do what our Father does!

1. The first step is you create your new life … use your imagination like you have never used it before; create a life of health, abundance and prosperity with no thought of how it is going to happen or fear that you can’t.  Write down exactly how you want your new life in every aspect and detail.  Be precise – don’t just write I want more money or more clients, what exactly do you want?
2. Re-write your new life out EVERY day and put emotion in it … this is the WHY or the purpose.  Continue this every day for 28 days.
3. Speak out loud your new life with gratitude, knowing that it is done. Only ask for it once and from then on be grateful for having received it.
4. Take whatever actions you can at the present time towards receiving your new life – the most efficient action you can do each day is hold the image of your new life on the screen of your mind while continually giving praise and glory to God.

IT IS DONE.

Take a day off school, or work or whatever else you are doing on that Tuesday of the seminar.

I guarantee that this 1-day will have a far bigger impact on your life than most other things you could do for a day!  That’s not just because I’ll be there … it’s because I have seen first hand the massive changes people make when they get the missing piece of the jig-saw puzzle.  I know how hugely different our lives are now. We where not born into affluence, if fact, both Lorna & I were brought up in families who constantly struggled to have the basic necessities of life.  We sent the first 16 years of our married life on and off government hand-outs trying to get by financially.  What we share will change your life on so many levels. It is so hard to help people to understand how great their life can be until they experience it.
