Ester Hicks & The Secret

Shortly after The Secret first came out, The Secret Version 2 was Released …

The Secret book & The Secret DVD by Rhonda Byrne

The Secret DVD & Book

… and the first version was NOT allowed to be sold!!  Many people who have watched The Secret actually watched the second version of the DVD.  The first version had Ester Hicks in it, the second version doesn’t!

I don’t profess to know what went on between Rhonda Byrne & The Secret team and Ester & Jerry Hicks.  Being reasonably close to Rhonda Byrne and her sister Glenda, plus the Drew Harriott’s (The Secret Director) then girlfriend is a daughter of our client, I was privy to some information which most do not know.

I have been around long enough to know there is always three sides to every story … Rhonda’s, Ester’s and the Truth!  I have never personally spoken to Ester or Jerry and have nothing against them as people.  They do a great work and I honour them for who they are.  I do not take on some on their beliefs as they are contrary to what I know as the truth … and then again, nor do I uphold everything on The Secret or what some other Secret Teachers believe.

From time to time I hear and read some real rubbish!  One of those is that Ester maintains the The Secret was handed to her from the Ester ‘Abraham’ spirits and that other Teachers on The Secret and Rhonda Byrne stole The Secret from her!!  Here is what someone posted on their FaceBook Wall today:

“I am a great fan of Esther & Jerry Hicks, please understand Abraham was the first to teach “The Secret,” yes-the info was basically unfairly stolen from Abraham-channeled from the wonderful Hicks!! She/they are phenominal. Keep up the good work for Abraham, Ester, I am proud of you regardless of what anyone thinks. I was/am a ‘different’ child.”

As you guessed … I could not resist responding … here it is:

“That is so far from the truth it is ridiculous.

How do you explain The Secret being taught by Zig Ziglar, Og Mandino, Napoleon Hill, Wallace D Wattles, Thomas Troward, Apostle Paul, Jesus Christ and Moses (plus many others) long before Ester Hicks was heard of or even born?

I had never heard of Ester Hicks or the ‘Abraham’ spirits when I first started applying The Secret (long before Rhonda Byrne called it The Secret).

Apart from the obvious, how can someone steal that which is not owned by any human but rather given directly by God (not the Ester’s ‘Abraham’ spirits).”

Let me also suggest that there is a “money side” that hasn’t been told truthfully, and that the real facts to why Ester Hicks was cut out have nothing to do Ester been given The Secret or that it was stolen from her.  Just some ordinary common sense will tell you someone is using fantasy to cover up fact.  And I’m amazed by the gullible people who fall for it.

  • Have you ever wondered why it was scheduled to show on ‘free-to-air’ television around the world simultaneously on February 12, 2005 and two weeks before (even after massive advertising campaigns) it got pulled …
  • then in May it got release via the internet and DVD??
  • Did you know it wasn’t able to be purchased online in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea until version 2 came out!?!??!

Hmmmm …. Something to think about!

Where Does Money Come From? – Part 5

From $16.2 million To Living On Food Stamp In 12 Months

Broke Business ManSo far I have shared about the spiritual side of money.  We will get on to some strategies for building wealth soon.

In fact, I will give you a step-by-step process of how to make money and create financial abundance regardless of your present circumstance, age, country, race, colour, situation, skill, education or ability. However, the reason I have spent time on the non-physical aspect of money is because it is the root cause of poverty and lack in people’s lives.

You cannot have abundance and prosperity while you think or focus on lack.  Even if you are given or win a large amount of money, you will dispose of it rapidly down to your own self-image of what you believe you are worth.

Some say that 96% of all lotto winners are worst off within five years than before they won the money.  I don’t know the exact statistics but I do know it is extremely high.  I have spoken to at least three people who have won over a million dollars and each one said that it made their life a mess and they wished they had never won!

Here is just one story I found on MSN.com:

Living On Food Stamps

William “Bud” Post won $16.2 million in the Pennsylvania lottery in 1988 but now lives on his Social Security.

“I wish it never happened. It was totally a nightmare,” says Post.

A former girlfriend successfully sued him for a share of his winnings. It wasn’t his only lawsuit. A brother was arrested for hiring a hit man to kill him, hoping to inherit a share of the winnings. Other siblings pestered him until he agreed to invest in a car business and a restaurant in Sarasota, Fla., — two ventures that brought no money back and further strained his relationship with his siblings.

Post even spent time in jail for firing a gun over the head of a bill collector. Within a year, he was $1 million in debt.

Post admitted he was both careless and foolish, trying to please his family. He eventually declared bankruptcy.

Now he lives quietly on $450 a month and food stamps.

“I’m tired, I’m over 65 years old, and I just had a serious operation for a heart aneurysm. Lotteries don’t mean (anything) to me,” says Post.

So what I am trying to get you to understand is that the acquiring and accumulation of money is not about hard work or the right job or winning lotto.  In fact, I believe that trying to acquire wealth through any form of gambling is in direct opposition to the natural laws of the universe.

Getting money and keeping it is always dependant on your mindset.

Napoleon Hill in his book “Think and Grow Rich” states that you much work yourself into a white hot burning desire for the money you want.  You must first decide the exact amount of money you desire and why you want it.

Tomorrow I will share with you the exercise which changed my life and my back account.  I’ll show you how I started to get checks in the mail instead of just bills!  I went from making less than $5,000 per year to creating over $1,000,000 in one day using the principles I’ll show you.

Where Does Money Come From – Part 2

Six Symptoms That Expose Fear of Poverty

Drunk with Wine BottlesHow did you go with the questions from yesterday?

The majority of people, if asked if they have a fear of poverty they will answer, “No.” Few people realize that they are in a prison, bound by the shackles of fear.  Fear of poverty is a mental bondage which shows up in the physical realm.  Like an alcoholic is bound to drink alcohol and hate the consequences of drunkenness, yet does not know how to escape it, so is the prison of poverty; many people are bound in mental poverty and speak poverty and hate the consequences of poverty yet they do not know how to escape lack and poverty.

If you answered yes to any one of the nine questions you have a symptom of fear of poverty.

Jesus said, “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure.  Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.” (John 8:31-32)  Truth will always free us from a spiritual or mental prison.

The 6 symptoms that expose fear of poverty (as written by Napoleon Hill in ‘Think & Grow Rich’):

  1. INDIFFERENCE – Commonly expressed through lack of ambition; willingness to tolerate poverty; acceptance of whatever compensation life may offer without protest; mental and physical laziness; lack of initiative, imagination, enthusiasm and self-control.
  2. INDECISION – The habit of permitting others to do one’s thinking. Staying “on the fence”.
  3. DOUBT – Generally expressed through alibis and excuses designed to cover up, explain away, or apologize for one’s failures, sometimes expressed in the form of envy of those who are successful, or by criticizing them.
  4. WORRY – Usually expressed by finding fault with others, a tendency to spend beyond one’s income, neglect of personal appearance, scowling and frowning; intemperance in the use of alcoholic drink, sometimes through the use of narcotics; nervousness, lack of poise, self-consciousness and lack of self-reliance.
  5. OVER-CAUTION – The habit of looking for the negative side of every circumstance, thinking and talking of possible failure instead of concentrating upon the means of succeeding.  Knowing all the roads to disaster, but never searching for the plans to avoid failure. Waiting for “the right time” to begin putting ideas and plans into action, until the waiting becomes a permanent habit. Remembering those who have failed, and forgetting those who have succeeded.  Seeing the hole in the doughnut, but overlooking the doughnut. Pessimism, leading to indigestion, poor elimination, bad breath and bad disposition.
  6. PROCRASTINATION – The habit of putting off until tomorrow that which should have been done last year.  Spending enough time in creating alibis and excuses to have done the job. This symptom is closely related to over-caution, doubt and worry.  Refusal to accept responsibility when it can be avoided.  Willingness to compromise rather than put up a stiff fight. Compromising with difficulties instead of harnessing and using them as stepping stones to advancement. Bargaining with life for a penny, instead of demanding prosperity, opulence, riches, contentment and happiness. Planning what to do IF AND WHEN OVERTAKEN BY FAILURE, INSTEAD OF BURNING ALL BRIDGES AND MAKING RETREAT IMPOSSIBLE.  Weakness of and often total lack of self-confidence, definiteness of purpose, self-control, initiative, enthusiasm, ambition, thrift and sound reasoning ability.  EXPECTING POVERTY INSTEAD OF DEMANDING RICHES.  Association with those who accept poverty instead of seeking the company of those who demand and receive riches.

Fear of poverty is a state of mind, nothing else. As such, every person has control over it … they may not know how to exercise that control but they do have that ability.  Money will not come to us in gushers until we change our state of mind to faith of abundance and prosperity.

So how do you change your state of mind from fear to faith?  Read by recent blog called “Change Your Life” and listen to my audio on Faith below.
