Author of the bestselling relationship book, Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus

 

Gray is without a doubt one of the most respected relationship and communication experts in the world. To cite from Wikipedia: “You must be from another planet if you have not heard of John Gray and his Mars Venus Universe.”

Gray’s focus is to help men and women understand, respect and appreciate their differences in both personal and professional relationships. He has written seventeen books on relationships and personal growth, sold over 50 million books in more than 45 languages throughout the world, including the famous 1992 book “Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus” which was later filmed.

Gray’s book includes, Venus on Fire | Mars on Ice engages in an exploration of relationships and the part of lifestyle and nutrition to sustaining a healthy romantic partnership and His latest, Why Mars and Venus Collide (HarperCollins 2008), reveals how men and women can improve relationships by understanding how they cope differently with stress.

Born in Houston, Texas, Gray is the fifth child of both Stanford University Alumni. After graduating high school, Gray continued his tertiary education in University of St. Thomas and the University of Texas without receiving any degrees. He followed the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of Transcendental Meditation and for nine years he was a celibate monk, and worked as the Maharishi’s assistant.  Then in 1982, Gray received his Ph.D. from the Columbia Pacific University (CPU), after completing a correspondence course.

Gray’s notable TV appearances include Oprah, The Today Show, CBS Morning Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, The View, Politically Incorrect, Larry King and others. He has been featured in Newsweek, Time, Forbes, USA Today, TV Guide and People, among scores of other major programs.

At present, Gray lives with his wife Bonnie in Northern California together with their three grown daughters and three grand children.
